Description

GMOV assemblies are designed to be an enhanced protection solution that minimizes degradation and catastrophic failure issues that can occur in discrete MOVs due to transient surges and temporary overvoltage conditions that exceed maximum ratings. Isolating the MOV from the line voltage via a GDT in an "always on but not online" manner shields the MOV from the effects of transients and temporary overvoltage spikes that often damage the MOV over time. The GDT series eliminates device leakage current and reduces damage to MOVs caused by power consumption and heat.
